ASSIGNMENT

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our SAP operations team and support a multi-site SAP S/4HANA 2023 on-premise landscape currently undergoing a dual-site architecture redesign (Bassa/Mungo). The role covers day-to-day technical operations (run/BAU), direct support to internal teams, and contribution to ongoing infrastructure and migration projects.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

System Administration & Operations :

• Administer and monitor the SAP S/4HANA 2023 landscape (Sandbox, Dev, QAL, Prod), including HANA database administration ;

• Manage core Basis components: ASCS, ERS, Dialog Instances, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAProuter, HANA Cockpit ;

• Administer SAP ADS (Adobe Document Services) and SAP Content Server ;

• Apply kernel, database, and OS-level patches; plan and execute security patches ;

• Perform SAP user/license administration and remediate authorization risks (e.g. SAP_ALL profile cleanup) ;

• Manage transports (STMS) across the landscape and support release/change management ;

• Produce and analyze weekly SAP EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports, and drive follow-up actions ;

• Monitor system performance (response times, batch jobs, interfaces) and troubleshoot deviations from KPIs.

Technical Support & Development :

• Provide direct support to internal business teams, including SAPGUI installation/updates on user workstations ;

• Analyze and correct company-specific ABAP programs and reports (e.g. custom sales reports), in coordination with the ABAP team and ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) findings ;

• Support Fiori/OData services administration; review and rationalize obsolete Fiori tiles.

REQUIRED PROFILE

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Administrator, ideally on SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) landscapes ;

• Solid knowledge of SAP HANA database administration (backup/recovery, performance monitoring, sizing basics) ;

• Experience with ASCS/ERS, Dialog Instances, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAProuter, and STMS transport management ;

• Practical experience administering SAP ADS and SAP Content Server ;

• Working knowledge of ABAP code review/troubleshooting (ATC) sufficient to support functional teams, though not a development role ;

• Familiarity with SAP EarlyWatch Alert analysis and basic performance tuning ;

• Comfortable working on SAP S/4HANA – prior experience limited to SAP ECC6 only will not be considered, as the organization is actively migrating away from ECC and does not operate an ECC6 landscape ;

• Fluent professional-level English (spoken and written) – mandatory and non-negotiable, as day-to-day coordination with key technical partners (including the external SAP architect and the reselling partner) is conducted exclusively in English, with no French-speaking counterpart available.
